Hotel Fauchere is an established hotel and gourmet cafe that provides a tranquil escape in the Poconos region with a strong following with weekend clientele. Co-owners identified an opportunity to grow their business into the work week by catering to corporate clientele with intimate meeting spaces with state-of-the-art meeting facilities. The owners reached out to River Architects in collaboration with Convene to create purpose-built facilities within the historic hotel, making use of disused rooms and spaces to maximum effect. 

The Hotel Fauchere Meeting Center seamlessly integrates the historic setting with amenities such as high-speed internet and teleconferencing, catering and impeccable hospitality features. The compact 1,800 square foot space provides the right balance of intimate spaces and privacy for breakout sessions as well as the flexibility to accommodate larger plenary gatherings.

Architectural features include the creation of the double-height retreat lounge and the new, gas-fired fireplace, galley kitchen, glass partitions, and thermal comfort through updating the building envelope and mechanical systems.  Modern touches in lighting, furnishing, and color play off the restored paneling and heart pine flooring.
