This stair will be a central artery in a current Passive House project in the Hudson Valley. Connecting all three floors of the home, the stairwell features a tall, dramatic window, and an ethereal chandelier cascading through the void.

Achieving an elegant stair takes a lot of coordination, from the initial design to the final installation. James and Karl worked with a steel fabricator to refine the staircase at each milestone, perfecting everything from the tread height and angle, to the folds of the handrail and the material selection.

We can’t wait to share the final outcome once the project is complete later in 2024!
